Remember that dude I was banging on about at Christmas? Alex Day, who ended up at #4 in the Christmas chart with Forever Yours just by the internetz being aces? Well since then he's let me befriend him, HAHAHA I know what a fuckmuppet, and I CAN CONFIRM that he is indeed as lovely and deserving as what they say.

Now, he has a NEW single out. A cover of Lady Godiva, and it's just as cheesy and awesome as you'd expect. Before I show you the music video, can I just smack a massive NOTE right here that I got him that horse and that successful challenge is going to the top of my CV. YOU'RE WELCOME, DAY.

The plan is very much similar to the last, get him to #1 for next week (coincidently his birthday, that's nice) but he needs shit loads of help if he's going to beat the Forever Yours placement. Buying from iTunes TODAY (Sunday 1st) would be great because he'll get the iTunes #1 and be played in the Capital chart tonight. But any time this week to get him to the proper #1 spot next week is great too. The 'mainstream guys' took notice last time of Alex, and the internet's power in general, but not quite enough. They still think it was a one off kids' novelty act. So we're going to show them it wasn't.

This is getting a bit Hunger Gamesish. DOWN WITH THE CAPITOL. I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE.

It's genuinely an ace song and the remixes are bloody brilliant and strangely hilarious. So if you can dip in a spare a few quid for them then we'd appreciate it. <3 ALSO, there's an actual physical copy of the single which is available in HMV from tomorrow. Just saying.
